Hey, guys! LarryBoy Fanatic here!
And I wanted to address something that's been happening on my social media.
I've started to notice that some people would contact me (message me) via Facebook, which is fine... to a certain extent. What happened was that a viewer (or someone who follows my work) would message me as if there was a different intention behind it, as if this person wanted to get to know me. To me, this was uncomfortable. What was worse was that if I didn't respond to them right away, they would bombard me with more texts, asking me if I was "okay." Long-story short: I had to cut this person off entirely. I simply said "We're done." And (here's the kicker) this person asks "Done for the night?"-- as if expecting me to message them the next day.
I'm sorry to say that I had to ban this person from the LarryBoy Fanatic Facebook Page.
Now, this incident reminds me of a similar event that took place earlier this year, when another person was just using me and my time to be a personal friend to them, like a shoulder to cry on. That other person was always complaining that women won't talk to him, and whatnot, and that he couldn't satisfy anyone. (Whether that's true or not, I didn't need to hear all that.)
You guys, I don't need to know y'all's personal business. Just like with any job, you leave your personal problems at the door. As LarryBoy Fanatic, I carry myself in a professional manner. I'm not here to be somebody that you can dump all your personal drama on, or be bothered by pointless conversations.
Every once in a while, I would like a simple "Hi" and "Good job." But if you try to start a conversation that's outside the realm of the topics that I cover on my YouTube channel, that I cannot allow.
So, with that said, I want to set some ground rules:
1. Message me within reason. (I have moderators for my social media. That was one of the reasons why I had to ban that one person, was one of my moderators had detected foul play.) Again, a simple "Hi" or telling me how good a job I'm doing. In other words, treat my social media like you would with the YouTube comments section-- keeping it short and simple.
2. I'm not accepting collabs at this time. I know that some of you had messaged me asking to be in interviews. That would be nice, but I can't right now. The reason being is that one: I'm trying to get a studio to do more filming in; and two: I'm always busy either script-writing, drawing, or doing something that would get me to a next video. Quality is usually better than quantity.
However, I can see another Q&A happening in the future; so if you have any questions for me then, then I would be more than happy to address them.
Now, this is not to scare anyone away from my YouTube channel or my social media. This is only saying to be mindful of others when using the site(s). In fact, these rules will benefit you guys, because I don't want people using my site(s) to either harass/bother other people--I don't wish that on anyone.
You see, if you choose to start a site, a YouTube channel, etc., you're gonna get fans, you're gonna get haters, and, unfortunately... you're gonna get people that are gonna make you feel uncomfortable.
So, that's the story, you guys. I just want to tell you guys to use the site(s) responsibly. And yes, I do have moderators; and they let me know what's up. Hopefully, this doesn't continue to be a trend. Again, I don't wish that on anyone.
So, stay tuned for more videos. I'm having fun with some of these videos, so far. Take care!
